The name "Monotter" cleverly merges "Mono," signifying "monologue," and "shita," the Japanese verb for the past tense, indicating a nuanced approach to self-expression.

With Monotter, users can conveniently tag their monologues for easy categorization and swift retrieval. The app automatically records geographical information associated with each entry, allowing users to name these locations for future reference.

Monologs can be categorized using specific prefixes such as /start, /end, /todo, and /done at the beginning of the text. This feature enables straightforward organization: marking entries as "Started," "Ended," "To-Do," or "Done" enhances clarity in tracking personal tasks and reflections.

Additionally, events noted with "Start" and "End" can be seamlessly exported into the iPhone’s calendar app, which may be beneficial for those incorporating their calendar as a comprehensive life log. The "To-Do" function includes an interactive checkbox that allows users to easily update tasks to "Done."

Monotter also enables users to assign a rating to each monologue by tapping on a rating scale, facilitating the organization of thoughts by importance. Entries can be sorted based on date or rating for efficient management.
